Mike Buzzi is an ocean going, charter yacht sea captain residing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Pronounced “Bootsie”, you won’t forget meeting Captain Mike. He is originally from Vermont and was a teacher/coach for ten years at Newton North High School, Newton, MA. After teaching, he owned and operated a very successful gymnastics center in Waltham, MA, for several years. Then one summer he began working on ferry boats running between Hyannis and Nantucket, MA. After delivering one of the ferries to South Florida for the winter, Mike became familiar with, and made yachting his new career. He moved to Stuart and raised two sons who attended college at UF and UCF, and are presently living in Orlando, FL.
With 39 years experience as a captain, Mike has travelled extensively and is very familiar with sport fishing, diving, and cruising. He has been in charge of many charters throughout New England, Florida, and the Bahamas. He will devise an itinerary to please any client to make the most interesting and wonderful vacation at sea.
Mike’s knowledge and experience includes sport fishing, overseeing a new build, and running boats ranging from 34’ to 132’, including fishing, diving and chartering. Mike says: “When a yacht owner hires a captain, that owner essentially hands the captain the keys to manage a multi-million dollar vessel. This must be done responsibly and safely at all times.”
